Speaker Biographies
Mr. Andrew Choi, Ten Years producer
Andrew Choi has a Master of Divinity from the China Graduate School of Theology; a Master of Arts in Communication, majoring TV & Film Production, from Regent University; and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba. He has many years of experience working in media, including digital media, website, and video production, and has organized a short film festival for young filmmakers. He is also the producer of various documentary films including Fading Marketplaces and Move with the Times, and has produced feature films Final Project and Ten Years.

Rev. Antony Law, Pastor at South Vancouver Pacific Grace MB Church
Rev. Antony Law is a 5th generation Christian whose great great-grandfather was a pastor of the early Chinese church. In 1999, Rev. Law and his wife Mable both attended Regent College in Vancouver where they graduated with their Master of Divinity and Master of Christian Study (Spiritual Theology) respectively. They served in South Vancouver Pacific Grace MB Church since 2002, and in 2014, Rev. Law started to serve as the senior pastor of this church. Rev. Law focuses on “Glocal” Missions, spiritual formation, and family ministries. His vision is “Building healthy families in Christ – Building wall-free church for Christ.” Rev. Law & Mable have two teenage daughters named Lois and Phoebe.

Dr. Justin K.H. Tse, Visiting Assistant Professor of Asian American Studies at Northwestern University
Justin K.H. Tse is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Asian American Studies Program at Northwestern University. He is the lead editor (with Jonathan Y. Tan) of Theological Reflections on the Hong Kong Umbrella Movement (Palgrave, 2016). He received his PhD in Geography at the University of British Columbia and publishes from his dissertation project on the engagements of Cantonese-speaking Protestants with Pacific Rim civil societies. He also blogs for Patheos Catholic as Eastern Catholic Person.

Fr. Richard Soo, SJ, Priest at Richmond Eastern Catholic Church
Fr. Richard Soo, SJ is a Jesuit of the Byzantine Catholic tradition and pastor at Richmond Eastern Catholic Church. Born in Vancouver, Fr. Soo first became a Christian through the Chinese Presbyterian Church. Rooted in Jesuit spirituality, Fr. Soo does ministry as a spiritual director, heading up the Jesuit Spirituality Apostolate in Vancouver which promotes the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Formed in Jesuit theology, he is also deeply concerned about human rights and social justice. Because of his experience in serving the refugees in Canada, Fr. Soo pursued a law degree to better serve the people who had no voice. During the 2014 Umbrella Movement in Hong Kong, Fr. Soo organized an ecumenical prayer rally in front of the Chinese Consulate in support of Hong Kong citizens fighting for universal suffrage and led a prayer retreat in his church consoling people who were impacted by the situation in Hong Kong.
