FAQ
Will the event be in English and Cantonese?
Yes, the event will be translated into English and Cantonese. Unfortunately, there will be no Mandarin translation. The film will have English and Chinese subtitles, however.
I am not a Christian. Can I still come?
Anyone who is interested in watching Ten Years is welcome to attend the event. Please keep in mind that the program content will be prepared for a Christian audience.
What will the donation cover?
This event is financed entirely by members of the organizing committee. Purchasing the rights to film the screen costs our team over $1000 USD. Any amount donated will be used to cover the costs of the film and other expenses. Members of the organizing committee will not have any financial gain from this event.
Who organizes this event? Why the anonymity?
Ten Years is a politically charged film. Given the tightening control of China over Hong Kong and the influence this country exerts worldwide, it makes sense that members of the organizing committee are careful about revealing their identities.
Do you support Hong Kong's independence?
Planning committee members hold different political views, but are united on the idea that rights and freedoms are important, as well as peaceful relations between Hong Kong and China. We firmly believe that God is with the oppressed and is working to rescue them for his glory.
